And so it begins....

Wow college is amazing, the people are amazing, the work is amazing. It's amazing!!! I have already had the chance to direct already and we're only in our third week. Is that a good sign? So many awesome assignments and trips we get to do, plus we should be moving into the new build soon with all the amazingly high tech equipment, I can't wait!! The assignments are now coming in thick and fast so I best go t and make a start! Stay tuned for more....

What week...

Woo what a week it's been! Absolutely fallen in love with college sometimes wish I was still there; I didn't get that with sixth form! So excited for the many tasks and assignments we are going to get. And I seriously cannot wait to get into the new building and get my hands on all the new technology! We have already had a go at the original cameras and that alone was awesome, equipment wise it is so so much better than sixth form, good riddance handy cams hello top of the range! In with the new and out with the old you could say :) so stay tuned we've only just got started...

The awesomeness!!!!

Ok so I haven't even completed a week of college but I'm already in love and at home!!! The AWESOMENESS is almost too much to bare!! Found out today I may get the chance to go to New York! NEW YORK!!!! For a week in February, I mean come on where else would offer such an awesome opportunity?! I am practically in love with the people in our awesome class everyone in the group are just insanely friendly and easy to get on with - there may be some long lasting friendships going on here. Just a little taste...

So today was officially awesome! I've finally got a taste at being a director, and overall.... well I LOVED it. it did have its tense moments and I was very nervous but the outcome was brilliant - so pleased with the product and the people I worked with; I cannot thank them enough. Although I have to say that being a director to a live TV transmission (task was to produce a TV panel show - sort of like mock the week and QI) is very different to directing films. However this was only the induction so I am now officially bursting with excitement for the actual course which commences Monday. Stay tuned for the AWESOMENESS!!!!!

So I have finally begun my great adventure!!! Let the fun commence, officially started college. Just getting through the induction and I'm enjoying myself already. Absolutely love college; the people the atmosphere, its all just wonderful and exciting. Made so many new friends who are all completely and utterly awesome. I generally can't wait to get stuck into the course and all the assignments. And seriously looking forward to all the amazing trips and experiences; will be returning to the Warner Brothers Studio tour two more times before the year comes to an end, I'm so EXCITED!!!! I should be posting a lot more, giving up to date information and may also improve my website so stay tuned for the AWESOMENESS!!!

Almost there!!!

So I literally have around 2 weeks before the start of college!!! It feels like its taken a lifetime to get here! The other day I picked up my results for my AS year of sixth form, they were alright for the most part, very pleased with my film and media (must be a sign). Also I have done some more on blender so I have decided to search for a way to link the models to my website (http://sensation-101.wix.com/jessicaallen) feel free to check it out and find out more about my work.

Not long now until I begin college. I'm so excited, already getting things ready. Brought my folders and stationary, need to sort out the required documents then I'll be prepared for enrolment and the start of first term. Got results day soon for my AS year (honestly - not entirely looking forward to it) so we'll see how it goes. Wish me luck?

Catching up

So yesterday I went and met up with a friend of mine, who happens to have the same name as me (gets very confusing as you can imagine), and one of our old teachers,who I would consider to be one of my all time favourite teachers. I owe him a lot as I'm sure many before me do! Admittedly many people would probably think it weird to meet up with a teacher even if they don't teach anymore, but I really enjoyed myself as did the others. it was nice to catch up and see how everyone's doing and I look forward to sharing my adventures with them. also I would just like to inform everyone that I have received my enrolment letter for my chosen course so after the 27th things should become more interesting!! Realism

So Friday the 26th of July is now officially in my top three of all time favourite days so far. I went to visit the Warner Bros. Studio Tour in London which features all the sets props costumes and many more from all eight of the Harry Potter films. I was already insanely excited for this trip - mainly cause I'm a big fan of harry potter itself - but after going I have now realised that I definitely want to become a film director. The excitement of just witnessing all the wonderful objects and tasks that I would get to get involved with is just... well words can't even describe how overwhelming the feeling is. Before it all seemed more like a dream but now it has become so real and I'm seriously excited to start my college course now!!! My life is (so far) starting to have a great turn around.

Learning something new

So I know that millions of people, across the globe, suffer with all sorts disabilities and stuff and it occurred  to me that a lot of it can lead to depression. I mean... I sometimes get depressed and, what with being a girl, my hormones are literally all over the place. For instance the other day I was quite literally the happiest and most hyperactive person on the planet (apparently that was incredibly annoying for the people around me) and it got to a point where people were literally ignoring me. It was only this small little trigger which made my mood change dramatically; I went from bubbly and happy to depressed, angry and upset. I was in tears for most of the night. Anyways back to the point... Later on the week I was flicking through all my music on my laptop and I came across some jump style/ rave music (you could say). It brought back plenty of memories of me and my friends trying to learn this type of dance (happy days). I figured I should maybe have a go at it again and see how much I remember! It was most likely the funniest thing to watch from an outside perspective but the point is I really enjoyed myself. It got me active and I was happy an laughing throughout :) I'm not trying to say that jumping up and down with flailing legs is the key to happiness but maybe, just by having a hobby or interest that you can do whenever, wherever and with whoever you want might just help cheer you up sometimes. It certainly helps me!

Been a few days

So it's been a few days since my last post! Sorry about that... Not much going on what with the holidays practically here. Just been spending time with friends and enjoying the sunshine (finally). Also I recently returned to some animation software (i'm teaching myself) i had to stop for a while - due to school work- but I had literally forgotten it all! Unbelievable... ah well, at least I can carry on with it this time seeing as my career path is more focused now in terms of education. Good old college ay. So yeah just a quick update I suppose but there are some exciting things to come in a week or two! But you'll have to wait and see!

Best Day Ever

Woo...What a day it has been! weren't entirely sure how it would pan out. was getting worried this morning (too many things were going wrong). but what a hell of a day it turned out to be. so glad I have made it onto my chosen course. So far the future looks bright; I have landed on the right side of the fence. have you ever felt so happy you have literally had a spring in your step. Where you are about to burst with joy if you don't tell anyone? hopefully my life will become very interesting :P

Big day

So... got a very exciting day ahead, tomorrow, potentially life changing! Ever had a day like this? Maybe even a choice? Very nerve-racking and tedious. I do generally feel like my life is balanced on a fence, either side holds a different future. I feel for anyone who ever experiences a similar situation... Best get a good nights sleep so I feel fresh and ready to go in the morning.

Reasons

Ok so admittedly there are other reasons I began a blog. For my chosen career paths I hope to achieve the best and preferably fame and fortune (huh... Don't we all?) so just before I go to work I would like to share with you, whoever reads this, what my dreams are. Since a young age I have always loved film, but the action that happens behind the camera in particular. I therefore realised that if I were to be a film director then I could get involved with all manner of operations that come together to make a film. So after I came to my senses, and realised that becoming Jabba the Hutt was not an available option, I turned my choices into ones which may hopefully bring the fame and fortune I desire. Due to this I decided to write this blog so that I may share my journey with anyone who wishes to join me. Stay tuned for this is only the start of a great adventure.

Introductions

So I have almost reached the big 18 and I have decided it may be a good idea to start writing a blog! This may be the most tricky thing to do in the world but hey... maybe it might become something wonderful in the future. So anyways... I suppose I should maybe introduce myself (in a sense). I wouldn't say I'm any different to anyone else; I enjoy different genres of games, books and films. I watch T.V. ... as would anyone these days... and I love to dream of the many possibilities that the future may hold... Ok... So now I'm starting to sound a little out of place and sappy I suppose. So yeah... I live with my parents and sister and we have a pretty normal family; well they seem normal to me you know? I suppose you may say I'm slightly unusual but then you could say what is normal? We're all different and unique in our own ways don't you think? I would certainly recommend that you should always be yourself and do what makes you happy and comfortable. Wow my first post and already I'm giving advice I must be doing well.
